Alyssa’s Personal Bio:
Hello! I’m Alyssa, and I absolutely love teaching the nursery Sunday school and the Wednesday evening children's classes. At 23 years young, I’ve spent most of my life in beautiful Columbia, though I was born in Jacksonville, NC. I proudly graduated from WGU in February 2025 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting.
I’ve been happily married to my wonderful husband, Jackson, for just over two amazing years, and we’re the proud parents of three adorable dogs! In my spare time, I enjoy diving into books, cultivating my garden, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. My husband and I joined the wonderful congregation at HPBC in May 2024, and every moment since has been a joy!

When your children join our class, they can look forward to a lively environment, where they’ll dive into a project they can proudly share with you and your family at home. It’s all about learning through creativity and having a blast while doing it! I teach interactive lessons filled with fun and imagination, primarily with exciting craft projects, while keeping Jesus as the main focus! I truly believe that when kids get hands-on and create something visual, they grasp the lessons much better.
Teaching the kids is such a delight because they remind us of all the little blessings from God that we as adults often overlook. It’s truly heartwarming!
